Subject: Senator Kennedy

I did not know what had happened but knew something was up when my phone rang three times while in a lunch meeting.

It sounds like his diagnosis is similar if not identical to mine - malignant glioma parietal lobe. I hope it is grade 3 not 4 but the way the news stories have been written it could be either.

I would like to be helpful and supportive for him. I have reached out to him through my Congressman and one Senator. I realize that a man like him has connections to everyone, but I am relatively sure he has not heard a hopeful message from someone ten years out, on his fifth recurrence and doing the best in years because of a breakthrough new treatment regimen. My congressman already called back and is passing on my info and numbers to Senator Patrick Kennedy who he is close to.

If anyone has a direct connection and thinks I could be helpful in anyway please let me know.

P.S. Cancer Survivor's Jon Lester's no-hitter was the greatest news! As you may have heard me write about before, my eight year old boy Max has embraced LiveStrong strongly. He likes to bike with his dad but his real passion in life is baseball. That story this morning lit him on fire. Somehow I need to get him a Jon Lester card. Just another example that reminds us to have hope and keep your dreams.
