Hopefully it is only a temporary one.
We are still not sure exactly what happened but I collapsed on the floor Thursday night and Barb called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. An MRI the next morning revealed the brain swelling is back. It is not quite as bad as September-October yet but is heading that direction. So I am back on a heavy dose of steroids. I had not been feeling well for several days. We are concerned that the chemo may be getting too toxic. I am scheduled for week 4 of chemo cycle 9 on Tuesday and right now am not sure if I will be doing it. Maybe I need a week break. Maybe I am done. Maybe I need to be on a continuous low dose of steroids. Thankfully my Internist got to the hospital early Friday morning before the on call doctors took over. They wanted a neurosurgeon to get to work on me to relieve the pressure. Barb and brother John would not leave me alone and sprung me by early afternoon.
I had a quiet weekend and am doing better. Tomorrow I hope to get some solid answers and a plan. Will let you know.
